Son of Olaf Alfred Odman and Isabella Odman nee Wood of Melbourne, Victoria.

Served his engineering apprenticeship with Aushal Otis Engineeering Company, Sout Melbourne for five years

Full name is George Alfred Odman but served at George Odman. 

Next of kin given as his mother in law Ellen Brown of Ascot Street, Kensington, NSW. 

During 1906c George married Edith R. Graham in Sydney, NSW. Edith later died during 1916c.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 May 1919 aboard HT Borda disembarking on 28 June 1919
