Personal Stories
Memories from Wally's grandaughters
Grandpa never spoke of his war experiences but our mother said that her father described a time when the only food provided for half a dozen men was half a loaf of bread and a tin of jam.
Grandpa also said that men at a London market gave the soldiers produce.
Post WW1 grandpa told my mother that ANZAC day was for meeting his friends to honour the fallen.
