REV. HARRY H. MORSHEAD
The Rev. Harry Hosking Morshead, retired Church of England clergyman, died in the Griffith Hospital on Sunday last, after a short illness, at the age of 55 years. He was a native of Ballarat, Victoria, here he was educated for the ministry. After his ordination he worked in several parishes in Victoria, and later at Bathurst and Portland in this State. On the outbreak of war he enlisted for active service, but was rejected, and later joined the A.I.F. as a chaplain, serving in France, where be was gassed. On his return to Australia, ill health caused him to retire from the ministry, and he went to the Griffith district and secured land at Benerembah. His genial nature and generous disposition won for him many friends at Benerembah and Griffith.
Mrs. Morshead and one son (aged 13) survive.
