Gunner Clifford Allen Redwin (Service No:NX88966) enlisted in the AIF on 17 February 1942 as a Private attached to 8 Infantry Training Battalion. He had previously served in the Militia (Gunner; Service No:310775) from 13 February 1930 to 4 July 1931. Gunner Redwin served with 2/1 Australian Field Regiment and was attached to 7 Field Regiment at Discharge on 9 November 1944.

Born in Sydney, NSW in 1913, Cliff was youngest of three children of Sydney James Redwin (b1884 in Sydney, NSW) and Jessie Lavinia Hayes (b1877) in Sydney, NSW. Sydney was Bricklayer in 1904 when he and Jessie married in Sydney where they settled and raised their family and Sydney worked as a Bricklayer.

Cliff worked for a Drug Warehouse and in 1936 was a Manufacturing Chemist when he married Gwendoline Alice Davies (b1915 in Tempe, NSW). Following Gwendoline's death in 1945, Cliff remarried in 1946 in Sydney to Margaret Amelia Bahlinger (b1922 in Leeton, NSW) - Margaret had served in the AWAS (Private; Service No:NF462697). Cliff and Margaret settled in Sydney where they raised their family and Cliff worked as a Manufacturing Chemist and Manager, Cliff died in 1998 and Margaret in 2012.
