Son of Michael O'Donoghue and Johanna  O'Donoghue nee Ryan of Montigue Street, Montigue, Victoria

Next of kin given as his cousin Margaret Ryan of Hunter Street, Abbotsford, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 17 August 1916 as an invalid aboard HS Borda but deserted on arrival at Fremantle then re-embarked HT Marathon disembarking on 24 September 1919.

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

In 1918 Charles re-enlisted for Home Service at the time his address was given as King STreet, Melbourne and next of kin was given as his sister Alice M. Harrington of Cnterbury Street, Yarraville, Victoria
