Percival Henry CURVEY - Prisoner of War
Percival Henry CURVEY enlisted at Randwick NSW in 14 July 1941.
His mother Maude CURVEY was listed as his next of kin.
He served as a Lance Corporal with the 2/1 Fortress Engineers.
Percival was captured in Timor in 1942 and declared missing.
By 1943 he was listed as a Prisoner of War - he was in various camps in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand & Japan.
He was finally recovered in Konoya, Japan by the US army in 1945.
He was discharged from service at his own request on compassionate grounds in Jan 1946.
