When Samuel Joseph MOULD* was born on 24 May 1898 in Warrington, Lancashire, his father, Samuel, was 29 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 31. He married Winifred Alice Ritchie (Redding') Mould on 26 June 1946 in Victoria. They had four children during their marriage. He died on 27 October 1980 in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia at the age of 82, and is buried there.
He enrolled in Britain in the First World War in 1915 and served with the Royal Fusiliers in France.
