Biography contributed by Chris Buckley

Keith was the youngest of two children of Francis (Frank) William Stroud (b1882 in Someset, England) and Susan Mary Vagg (b1879 in Glamorganshire, Wales). Frank (a Tailor) and Susan married in 1907 in Devon, before moving to Surrey where Frank was a Master Tailor. He served in the RAF in WWI (Service No:7916) and in 1923 the family immigrated to Fremantle WA, arriving on board the Esperance Bay. Frank and Susan settled in Busselton WA where Frank was a Farmer.

Keith was working as a Dairy Farmer at Boallia near Busselton when he enlisted in the ACMF in July 1941. He was a Private (Service No:W30972) attached to 19 Garrison Battalion when he was Discharged in 1945.

Keith continued to work as a Dairy Farmer in BoAllia, Busselton before moving to Woooroloo Sanatorium Farm in the late 1950s with wife Yvonne (b1920). Keith was a Dairy Hand on the farm, and following Yvonne's death in 1962, he moved to the Kimberley in WA where he was Curator at Anna Plains Station near Broome. Keith died in 1975.
