Arthur was the son of William Kinsman and Elizabeth Evans [nee
Goode]. He left Adelaide aboard HMAT Boonah A36 on 22 October
1918 as a private with a composite battalion. Due to the armistice of
11 November, his troopship was recalled, resulting in Arthur
disembarking on 20 December 1918 and being discharged on 2
February 1919.
