Husband of Georgina Harriet WEBB nee HUNT, 'Carlisle', 26 Retreat Road, Newtown, Geelong, Victoria

John had served for five years in the Imperial Army 1st and 82nd Battalions up to the rank of Sergeant. He also had 8years in the Senior Cadets and was Captain and Area Officer of 69B Geelong.

After embarkation he disembarked at Sierra Leone 14 November 1918 with Infulenza and then went onto England arriving 14 November 1918 and after 5 weeks returned to Australia 22 December 1918 per 'Saxon'.

Upon his return, John continued to serve in the AMF till he resigned on 5 October 1927, appointed as Hon 2nd Lieutenant .
