Born at Family property called Turretfield Farm, Binda, NSW Australia. During his time at war, Guilford was taken prison of war - France.
When he returned to Australia he worked at Kenmore Mental Hospital (mostly WWI Vets) with his brother Lindsay McKinnon Robertson. After Kenmore closed, Guildford worked in Orange, Gladesville and Rydalmere. He worked at total of 39 years in service to the Dept of Health.
