Bombardier Harold Woodhouse (Service No:WX38208) served with 3 Heavy Brigade RAA from January 1943 to May 1944. He enlisted in the RAAF in May 1944 (Leading Aircraftman; Service No:442198) and was attached to 1 Engineering School Ascot Vale when he Discharged in August 1945. Harold re-enlisted in the Army in the mid 1950s (Warrant Officer II; Service No:53016) and served in Vietnam in 1970 with Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps.

Born in Warwickshire, England in1921, Harold was the second child of Bertram (Bertie) Woodhouse (b1894 in Warwickshire and Blanche Haden (b1897 in Warwickshire, England). Bertie (a Sawyer) and Blanche married in 1917 in Birmingham, Warwickshire - Bertie had served with the British Army(Private; Regimental No:11801) with The Kings Regiment Rifle Corps between September 1913 and June 1914 (discharged as medically unfit). In 1924 Bertie and Blanche emigrated with their children, arriving in Albany WA on board the Demosthenes. The family settled in Perth, WA where Bertie worked as a Sawyer and Labourer.

In 1940 Harold was working as a Carpenter when he married Beryl Dawn Whittle (b1922 in Perth, WA) - they were both eighteen years of age. Following his WWII service, Harold and Beryl settled in Perth, WA where Harold worked as a Carpenter. They Divorced in 1952 and both remarried. By 1958 Harold was living in Inglewood in Perth, WA with second wife Marjorie Joy, and was a Soldier. Harold died in 1992 in Mandurah, WA.
