Lance Corporal Charles Alfred Sadler WX11374 was born Colac Victoria 5 June 1915 and served on Sparrow Force in Timor with his younger brother Lance Corporal Stanley Sadler WX11372 born Swan Hill Victoria 2 July 1917.

Two years after Stanley was born his mother passed away. The boys and their older brothers Alec, John, James and George and sister Annie were taken to England where his father remarried. A half brother, Ronald was born in August 1922 and in early 1923 the family returned to Australia settling in Western Australia. Their father passed away in 1934.

Charles and Stanley enlisted in the AIF together on the 5th of April 1941, followed by their younger brother, Private Ronald Edward Sadler WX 16212  in August 1941. Ronald finished the war serving with older brother Stanley in the 2/2nd Commandos. Older brothers John, George and James all served in the Volunteer Defence Corps in the Militia in WA.

Charles Sadler passed away on the 8th of September 1997.

Stanley Sadler passed away in 1993 and Ronald Sadler in 1983.
