Son of William Luxford Virgo and Sarah Ann Virgo nee Black of Royal Terrace, Hyde Park, SA.
William had served previously with the Boulder Militia, WA, 1906-1912.
Commenced return to Australia on 15 February 1918 aboard HT Llanstephen Castle disembarking on 8 April 1918
