Biography contributed by Geoffrey Gillon

He is buried in the family grave at City of London cemetery. His Commission Headstone states his age at 39; his death registration states 40 which appears to be accurate, and the family grave records his age as 37 but he was in fact born in 1876. He was the son of John William and Esther Abel.
