later moved to Ansell Street, Semaphore, South Australia.

Victor was described on enlisting as 21 years 2 months of age; single; 5' 7" tall; 190 lbs;
fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair; Methodist

19/08/1914  enlisted into WWI

20/10/1914  embarked Outer Harbour, SA onboard HT A11 Ascanius
                   as a Lance Corporal with 10th Battalion, Machine Gun Section

13/01/1915  sick with Meningitis
                   died from this illness at Mena, Egypt

buried in:     Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt
                   Row B, Grave 143

His name is commemorated on Panel 59 at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra ACT.
