Sergeant Leslie Alfred Magee (Service No:V316543) served in the ACMF (initially as Private, appointed Storeman) from 26 February 1942 to 30 June 1947.

Born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1907, Leslie was second of five children of Charles Mars Magee (b1877 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Lucy Jane Woodfield (b1881 in Melbourne, Victoria). Charles and Lucy married in 1904 in Melbourne, where they settled and raised their family and Charles was a Carrier, Orchardist and Bootmaker.

Leslie worked as a Salesman in Melbourne where, in 1933 he married his first wife Clarice Eleanora Weaver (b1912 in Sydney, New South Wales). Leslie and Clarice settled in Melbourne, where Leslie worked as a Salesman. In the early 1940s the couple divorced, and Leslie was living with his parents in 1942 when he enlisted in the ACMF. Both remarried - Leslie in 1952 to Lena Wallace McVilly (nee Gordon; b1904 in Perth, Western Australia). Leslie and Lena settled in Melbourne, where Leslie worked as a Salesman and Newsagent. Leslie died in 1980 and Lena in 1982.
