28 May 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 450, 38th Infantry Battalion, The Outpost Villages - German Withdrawal to Hindenburg Line, GSW to back and abdomen (penetrating chest) sustained during a trench raid at Bois Grenier. Evacuated to 2nd Aust CCS at Trois Arbres, where he died of his wounds the next day 29 May 1917.
