Private Ian Clifford Martin (Service No:W73182) served with the ACMF - No 9 Battalion (Northam) VDC - from 16 April 1942 to 15 October 1945.

Ian was born in 1923 in Wagin WA, son of Clifford (Cliff) James Martin (b1894 in Snowtown, South Australia) and Deborah (Madge) Margaret Dawson (b1899 in Cleve, South Australia). Cliff (a Farmer) and Madge married in Perth, WA in 1922 - Cliff had served in WWI (Private; Service No:6544). Cliff and Madge settled at Oaklands in Bolgart nr Toodyay, WA where they raised their family and Cliff was a Farmer.

Ian was a Farmer at Oaklands in Bolgart when he enlisted in the ACMF, and in 1951 in Northam WA married Wilma Margaret Worts (b1931 in Northam, WA). Ian and Wilma settled at Oaklands in Bolgart nr Toodyay where they raised their family and Ian was a Farmer. Ian died in 1990 and Wilma in 2005.
