Next of kin given as his daughter Thelma O'Connor, Mudgee College, Brisbane, QLD. The address of his wife was unknow. On 9 August 1905 Ernest married Maud Quinn in QLD.

Commemced return to Australia on 29 May 1919 aboard HT Rio Negro disembarking on 25 July 1919 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane
