Private Alfred Henry Graham (Service No:V66988) served in the ACMF from 13 March 1941 (23/21 Battalion - graded Fitter) to 27 December 1944. Private Graham was attached to 4 Ordnance Stores at Discharge - Medically Unfit (Congenital Heart Disease). Alfred was one of four siblings (Charles, Bill and Herbert) who served in WWII.
Born in Briagolong via Maffra, Victoria in 1912, Alfred was second of seven children of William Frederick Graham (b1882 in Heyfield, Victoria) and Anne Jane Davis (b1886 in Toombon, Victoria). William (a Farmer in Briagolong) and Anne married in Melbourne in 1909. They settled at Briagolong, where they raised their family and William was a Farmer.
Alfred worked in Warrnambool as a Fitter's Labourer, and in 1943 married Phyllis Myrtle Ferris (b1921 in Warrnambool, Victoria). Alfred and Phyllis settled in Warrnambool, where Alfred worked as a Labourer and Warehouseman until his death in 1957. Phyllis later remarried.
