Private Maurice Ralph Flynn (Service No:W74612) served with the ACMF from 25 April 1942 to 3 February 1943 with 11th North West Battalion VDC.

Born in 1901 in Wangaratta Victoria, Ralph was the eldest of six children of Maurice Flynn (b1868 in Hartley, NSW) and Bridget Farrell (b1869 at King River, Victoria). Maurice (a Groom) and Bridget married in 1900 in Wangaratta, Victoria and moved to the Kalgoorlie/Boulder Region of WA in 1903. Maurice was a Miner at Finniston, Coolgardie and Hannans and in 1916 was working at the Great Boulder Gold Mine when he was killed by a rock fall. 

Ralph worked as a Labourer in Doodlakine and Fremantle before moving to the Kimberley in 1934 where he worked in Wyndham as a Butcher and Labourer until 1949 when he moved to Kojonup, where he died in 1951.
