Brother of James Mortimer O'Sulliva, who returned to Australia on 28 May 1919 having served with the 2nd Battalion; and Henry Robert William O'Sullivan who returned to Australia on 12 March 1920 having served with the 2nd Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 17 March 1919 aboard HT Plassy disembarking on 30 April 1919
