Prior to enlisting Lawrence was jackerooing on Green Hill Station, Longreach, QLD
Son of Edward O'Connor and Mary Anne O'Connor nee Sinnah of Ferns, Wexford, Ireland.
Next of kin given as his sister D. O'Connor of V.A.D. Military Hospital, Colchester, Essex, England
Prior to coming to Australia Lawrence had been employed with J. Bolger & Co. General Drapers of Enniscorthy, Wexford. Ireland.
Failed to re-embark HT Boorara at Fremantle on 23 May 1917 but on 30 June 1917 Lawrence embarked HT Port Lincoln at Fremantle for onward travel to England.
