Private Wilfred Royal Ward (Service No:N248047) served in the ACMF with 118 Reserve Motor Transport Coy from 23 January 1942 to 10 April 1942.
Mick was born in Bathurst, NSW in 1913, son of Alice Isabel Ward (b1887 in Parkes, NSW). Alice was living on the family farm at Kamandra via Parkes, and in 1924 married in Parkes, NSW.
Mick worked in as a Shearer in Tomingley via Peak Hill where, in 1939, he married Vida Lillian Crowshurst (b1912 in Peak Hill, NSW). Mick and Vida settled in Sydney, where Mick was working as a Packer when he enlisted in the ACMF in 1942. Mick and Vida remained in Sydney, where they raised their family and Mick was a Saw Mill Worker and later a Fitter. Vida died in 1983 and Mick in 1985.
