There was a Kitty Thomas who was a registered nurse in New Zealand who did her training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, NSW. Electoral Rolls for New Zealand show a Katherine Hughes Thomas as a spinster. A Katherine Hughes Thomas died in New Zealand in 1965.
