Son of John Arthur Adderton and Stella Naomi Dayhew.
There appears to be some confusion regarding his date of birth. All records have the common date of 25th November. WW2 records show the year as 1917 on his enlistment papers. It is recorded as 1916 on his Proceedings for Discharge. Other records including cemetery records show the date as 1918. BDM NSW shows Registration 48875/1918.
