Death of Nurse Goodman.
Advice has reached Cairns of the death of Nurse Goodman, who was Acting Matron of the local hospital after the departure of Matron McDonnell up to the time of her own departure on active service. She contracted pneumonia, which develepod into consumption, and her death took place in a Sydney hospital, where she had been for some considerable time.
News has come to hand of the death from tuberculosis of Staff Nurse Pearl Goodman, of Millthorpe, who was at the front for a period of three years. Deceased was 32 years of age, and a favorite in her profession for which she was trained at the Orange Hospital. Two of her brothers, Privates Howard and Spencer Goodman, have not yet returned from active service.
