"Gunner Roy Mitchell
Another of Euroa's boys has paid the supreme sacrifice-Roy Mitchell adopted son of Mr and Mrs J. Mitchell. Gunner Roy Mitchell, who was well known to most of the residents of Euroa and district, was killed in action in France on October 16th." - from the Shepparton Advertiser 12 Nov 1917 (nla.gov.au)
