Arthur grew up in Perth, WA - the second of five children of George Nelson Curry (b1874 in Sandhurst, Victoria) and May Elizabeth Manning (b1878 in Perth, WA). George (an Ironmonger) and May married in Perth WA in 1901, returning briefly to Victoria before returning to WA in late 1903. George was a Storekeeper in Kalamunda when he died in 1914.
Arthur worked as an Electrician and in 1927 married Doris Evelyn Dyson (b1907 in Perth, WA). The couple settled in South Perth, WA and in January 1941 Arthur enlisted in the ACMF (Sapper; Service No:W34447). In August 1941 he was classified Blacksmith, and was a Sapper attached to 7 Workshop and Park Coy when he was Discharged in February 1942.
Arthur and Doris remained in South Perth, WA where Arthur was an Electrician. He died in 1980 and Doris in 1988.
