Corporal Thomas Guildford Wilson (Service No:29188) enlisted in the RAAF on 12 November 1940 as an  Aircraftman I at No 4 Recruiting Centre - mustered as Fitter. He was promoted to Leading Aircraftman on 8 May 1942 and was a Corporal attached to 25 Squadron at Discharge on 28 November 1945.

Tom was born in 1902 in Guildford WA, fourth of five children of Rchard John Wilson (b1862 in Dublin, Ireland) and his second wife Kate (Katie) McKenzie (b1869 in Fremantle, WA). Richard had arrived in Fremantle with his father in 1864 on board the Strathmore and worked as a Station Hand at Millstream Pastoral Station in Roebourne before becoming Barman and Manager of the Jubille Hotel in Roebourne. Richard and Katie (a Hospital Matron) married in 1896 and settled in Guildford, WA where Richard was a Grocer, Brickmaker, Councillor, Road Borads Secretray and Mayor - as Mayor in 1900 he presided over a Concert held for Swan members of the 2nd Contingent heading off for the Boer War. In 1908 Richard and Katie moved to Ferguson River via Bunbury where Richard was a Farmer, and then to Australind in 1920 where he was a Farmer.

Tom started work as an Overseer on Holmwood Station in Mingenew, and in 1926 in Cannington he married Marjorie (Ciss) Waldron Mason (b1901 in Cannington, WA) - Ciss was working in Bunbury as a Lady's Help. Tom and Ciss settled in Nannup where Tom was a Garage Proprietor and owner of the town's lighting plant - providing the town's power from the early 1930s (Tom held an Electrical Installer's Licence an Electrical Inspector's Licence). Following his Discharge from the RAAF in 1945, Tom and Ciss continued living in Nannup where Tom was a Garage Proprietor and Electricity Provider, until the early 1950s when they moved to Mandurah  - where Tom was a Garage Proprietor. By the late 1950s Tom and Ciss had moved to Perth where Tom worked as an Electrical Engineer. Tom died in 1960 and Ciss in 1976.
