Staff Sergeant Kenneth Hugh Taylor (Service Nos:52704/WX31272) enlisted in the Army on 24 August 1942 and was attached to 7 Workshop and Park Coy when he was Discharged on 21 January 1946. He then re-enlisted in the Army.

Born in 1912 in Kalgoorlie WA, Ken was the eldest of six children of Ernest Glibert Medlycott Taylor (b1889 at St Leonard's, NSW) and Amelia (Mil) Harriet Gilham (b1891 at Cavendish, Southern Grampians, Victoria). Ernest (a Reporter) and Mil married in 1911 in Coolgardie, WA. Ernest was a Clerk when he and Mil moved to Perth with their family - they lived in Perth and Fremantle where Ernest worked as a Clerk.

Ken was a Clerk in Fremantle in 1937 when he married Jean Elizabeth Maria Murdoch (b1912 in Wagin, WA) - Jean was working as a Dressmaker in Perth. Ken remained in the Army and he and Jean lived in Perth. Ken died in 1985 and Jean in 2011.
