Son of Thomas Osborne and Ellen Osborne nee Bell of Allandale, Inglewood, QLD.
Brother of Joseph Lionel Alexander Osborne who was killed in action 10 April 1918 while servine with the 1st Imperial Camel Battalion and is buried in the Jerusalem Military Cemetery, Row H, Grave 47.
Commenced return to Australia on 29 April 1916 aboard HT Seeang Bee disembarking on 31 May 1916
