Leading Aircraftman William Robert Huner (Service No:82039) enlisted in the RAAF on 19 September 1942 and was attached to 3 Air Observer School Port Pirie when he was Discharged on 20 December 1945.
Born in 1910 in Fremantle WA, William was the third of five children of William Howie Hunter (b1882 in Ceduna, South Australia) and Mary Elizabeth Hicks (b1883 in Fremantle, WA). William Snr (a Storeman) and Mary married in 1903 in Beaconsfield WA and setlled in Fremantle where they raised their family and William Snr was a Storeman.
William married Lucie Emily Beatrice Strain (b1916 in Cottesloe, WA) in 1938 in Kalgoorlie WA. William and Lucie settled in Yunderup nr Mandurah WA. William was unemployed throughout their marriage and he and Lucie moved to Fremantle in the early 1960s, where William died in 1967.
