Frank Myers was born to Elizabeth Myers in Houghton, South Australia in March 1884. Before the war, Myers worked as a labourer. Labourers worked in munitions factories, agriculture, as longshoremen in ports, and even as lumberjacks.

He lived in Houghton, South Australia, which is situated across from Tea Tree Gully above an area which later became the Anstey Hill Recreation Park.

Myers enlisted on October 24th, 1916, in Adelaide, South Australia and was recruited to the 50th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement. Myers' unit departed from Adelaide aboard the HMAT A35 Berrima on December 16th, 1916. The ship arrived in Devonport, England on February 16th, 1917.

The 50th Battalion played a crucial role in various battles during World War I. These included the attack on Noreuil, the assaults on Dernancourt, the Battle of Amiens, the Battle of Messines, the Battle of Polygon Wood, the German Spring Offensive, the Hindenburg Line, the Hindenburg Outpost Line, and the Third Battle of Ypres.

On April 19th, 1917, Myers was admitted to the hospital with mumps. This is a disease that causes swollen and painful salivary glands, fever, headache, fatigue, and loss of appetite. Myers was discharged on May 7, 1917.

In August 1917, Myers arrived in France and marched in Le Havre. Myers then travelled through France and into Belgium. He was killed in action on October 14th during the 3rd battle of Ypres.

Frank Myers is commemorated at the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres.

Myers was posthumously awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. The British War Medal was created to commemorate the end of World War I and to recognize the service of those who participated. The Victory Medal was created to commemorate the triumph of the Allies over the Central Powers.
