Son of Stephen Uridge and Drusilla Letita Uridge nee Tucker of Ballarat, Victoria.
Husband of Esther Janet Uridge nee Polley of Park Street, Heidelberg, Victoria. Walter and Esther married during 1895c in Victoria
13 September 1915 - enlisted with the 1st Australian Remount Unit with the rank of Private but promoted to Trooper when taken on strength.
29 April 1916 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Seeang Bee disembarking on 31 May 1916
Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
14 June 1916 - discharged at the 3rd Military District unit demobilised
