Leading Aircraftman Raymond James Munt (Service No:170168) enlisted in the RAAF on 1 January 1944 and was attached to 6 Central Recovery Depot when he was Discharged on 7 February 1946. Father James Edward Munt MM (Service No:5425) served in WWI, and half brothers Vivian Frazer (Service Nos:QX43022/Q71975) and Ronald John Frazer (QX28160) also served in WWII.

Born in 1926 in Maryborough QLD, Ray was the son of James Edward Munt MM (b1889 in Laidley, QLD) and Ellen (Nell) Alice Frazer (nee Horton; b1889 in Yengarie, QLD). James (a Farmer) and Nell (a Widow with three young sons) married in 1921 in Biggenden, QLD. James and Nell lived in Biggenden where James was a Farmer, Labourer and Mechaniic before moving to Bundaberg in the late 1930s. 

Ray worked as a Bank Officer following his Discharge in 1946 - Bundaberg, Innisfail and Brisbane. He married June Neilson in the early 1950s and the couple settled in Brisbane where Ray was a Bank Officer. Ray died in 2000.
