Died on this date - 4th September.......Eric Roy McIlrick was born at Manilla, NSW in 1895.

He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force as a 22 year old Farmer.

Private McIlrick, Service number 54715, was sent to England for further training, arriving there on 26th August, 1918.

He was sent to Hurdcott Hospital, Wiltshire the next day with Influenza. He was transferred to Military Hospital, Fovant, Wiltshire on 31st August, 1918 with Pneumonia.

Private Eric Roy McIlrick he died at 6 am on 4th September, 1918 at Military Hospital, Fovant, Wiltshire from Pneumonia.


He was buried in St George’s Churchyard, Fovant, Wiltshire where 43 other Australian WW1 Soldiers are buried.
