On page 23 of the Attestation paper it states that his true name was Arthur Cheney but served at as John O'Brien

Son of John Cheney and Nancy Laura Cheney nee Grenfell of Creswick, Victoria.

Next of kin given as his sisiter Cissie Wilhelmina Benjamin of Rowe Street, Ballarat East, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 30 January 1918 aboard HT Euripides disembarking on 21 March 1918 at Melbourne for discharge.
