He was a Gunner with the Australian Machine Gun Corps.
He was 36 and the son of John and Sophia Forbes, of Nairn, Scotland.His mother lived sometime at Ocklynage Parade, Eastbourne, England.
He is honoured on the Parish of Ardclach panel of the Nairn War Memorial.
