Son of Reginald Fleming BURNS, 36 Irymple Avenue, East Kew, Vic.

His father was LAC 119331 at the Signals School (Staff) Point Cook.

Reginald enjoyed Tennis and Golf.

As a junior, he spent several years in his father's grocery stores and was with G.J. Coles & Co, in the head office accounting staff until changing over to merchandising division to widen his business expericance and acquire knowledge of stock handling and control.

His educational qualifications were - Leaving Certificate (Matriculated for Melbourn University) 8 subjects including Commerical Practice (First Place) and Commercial Principles.

Qualified Accountant & Secretary, having passed examination of Commonwealth Institute of Accountants, Australian Institute of Cost Accountants, Australian Institute of Secretaries and Companies' Auditors Board.
