Lesley was the second of five children of Colin Sutherland Gordon (b1864 at Tarradale, Victoria) and Florence Mary Eliza Tondut (b1876 on Rottnest island, WA). Colin (a Prospector) arrived in Fremantle WA in 1899 and he and Florence married in 1904 in Lawlers, Leonora WA. The couple lived in Nungarra, Cue and Day Dawn where Colin was a Prospector before settling in the Swan Valley at Guildford WA where Colin was a Vigneron.
In 1936 Lesley married William (Bill) George O'Mara (b1906 in Perth, WA) - Bill was an Electrician. Lesley followed Bill into the RAAF in September 1942 and was an Aircraftwoman (Service No:103281) attached to 5 Embarkation Depot when she Discharged in November 1943.
Lesley and Bill settled in Belmont, Perth WA where Bill was an Electrician. In the late 1960s. Lelsey moved to Mindarie and then Dianella WA where she worked as a Gardener before retiring to Merriwa. Bill remained in Belmont, where he died in 1988. Lesley was 106 years of age when she died in 2019.
