Daughter of L.B. and Agnes Fox, Quarry Road, Mitcham, Vic.

Prior to enlistment Ema had four years teaching in Primary Schools, one year practice teaching supervising work don eby students from Teachers Training College.  She had passed her Juniro and Leaving Certificates and a Batchelor of Ars Degree. She had been chosen as senior woman student of Teachers' College, organised Dramatic club while there, socials and sports meetings.  Her pass times were golf and tennis and could play hockey and basketball.

Her file describes her as bright, intelligent, keen and reliable.  She is very considerate to W.A.A.A.F personnel. Her academic qualifications are helpful in dealing with the public.
