Son of Peter O'Dea and Mary Agnes O'Dea of  'Fairview', Marengo, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 23 March 1919 aboard HT Czar on 10 April 1919 he was transhipped to HT Dongola at Alexandria disembarking at Melbourne on 16 May 1919 for onward travel to Sydney
