WOUNDED IN ACTION AT THE DARDANELLES.
Spr. D. Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Lawrence, Bairnsdale, was wounded the morning he landed at the Dardarnelles. He was engaged in making a road with the engineers when he was struck on the head by a piece of stone falling from a cliff above. He was taken to the beach to he treated, and whilst there he got a bullet in his right arm. He has now returned to the front.
