Edgar Willoughby KILPONEN was born in Chatswood, Sydney on 12th November, 1906
His parents were Olli (Olav) KILPONEN & Agnes Eleanor NEWBON who married in St James Church, King St Sydney on 22nd January, 1902
He married Violet Kathleen (Jill) ASHTON in Sydney in 1936 - known children, Judith Margaret, David Ashton, Phillip Edgar, Muriel Agnes & John (Jack) Oliver
He served in the Royal Australian Air Force during WW2 - last rank was Flight Lieutenant with the 11 Group which was formed in Moratai
Edgar died on 5th December, 1957 - late of Balgowlah
