25 Jul 1916:	Involvement AIF WW1, Private, 3697, 5th Infantry Battalion, Battle for Pozières , Gunshot Wound, Right Knee, admitted 57th Field Ambulance. Transferred to No.12 General Hospital, Rouen 26 July, 1916, then shipped to England 30 July, 1916 for further treatment.
1 May 1919:	Discharged AIF WW1, Private, 3697, 5th Infantry Battalion, 5th Battalion, "A" Company. Discharged medically unfit for further military service - defective hearing. Received the Star, British War and Victory Medals
