Son of Bernard Lund Jorgensen and Annie Maria (nee Johnson) Jorgensen of Largs Bay, SA; brother of John Dominic Jorgensen, Robert Whickham Jorgensen, Mary Veronica Jorgensen, Ann Carmel Jorgensen, Kathleen Mona Jorgensen and George Leonard Andes Jorgensen.

George also served in WW2
