Son of William Hawdon and Margaret Hawdon nee Hedrington of Derby Street, Kensington, Victoria
When filling in an application for enlistment to the Citizen Military Forces he gave birth date as 25 December 1874. This is the third year of birth given the other two being 1870c and 1872c
