Mary was the daughter of Ernest Hartley Nicholas Sanderson and Elizabeth Sanderson nee Steep.

Mary enlisted on 3.81942 with the Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftwoman, 96444, RAAF Hospitals, Melbourne, Vic. and was discharged on 5.4.1946.

Mary married Francis William Bell in 1947.

Memorial: The Victorian Garden of Remembrance.
